The successful implementation of the Teacher Wellness & Coaching: Self-Care Strategies for Success training program, held in Paphos from 26 November to 2 December 2024. This enriching event brought together over 10 participants from various organizations, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences.

About the Training

The program emphasized the creation of a well-being learning environment—a holistic approach combining mental, social, and physical conditions to enhance self-efficacy, self-esteem, life skills, and social competencies. While coaching and counseling are commonly used in corporate settings to maximize professional performance, such support is less common in education. This training aimed to fill that gap, providing participants with tools to grow professionally and personally while avoiding stress and burnout.

Target Audience

The program catered to:

  • Experienced teachers, adult educators, and trainers
  • Department heads
  • Managerial and administrative staff

Learning Outcomes

Participants gained the skills to:

  • Recognize and foster elements of a well-being-focused learning environment.
  • Analyze well-being strategies from the perspectives of learners, trainers, and managerial staff.
  • Implement stress management techniques and avoid burnout.
  • Apply coaching principles and tools to enhance collaboration and professional growth.

Daily Program Highlights

The 7-day program combined interactive icebreakers, hands-on activities, and theoretical insights. Participants explored tools for implementing well-being strategies in educational settings, culminating in personalized consultations and a certificate ceremony celebrating their achievements.
